As Danny of Happy Surfing Okinawa always says...Longlife Okinawa. With small tide and swell windows combined with fickle and ever present winds, finding quality waves to shortboard can be a daunting task here in Okinawa. So, it is highly recommended to keep a longboard near by in order to keep your stoke gland happy.
Here are a few shots I snapped during a longboard session with some U.S military members a little while back...Even on those days when the swell is a little lack ouster there is no reason to not get out and enjoy the crystal clear tropical water and the fresh air.
